In UniCredit Leasing we also believe that when you grow it is your moral obligation to share and support. That is why we contribute to different projects and initiatives aiming at building sustainable communities.
Benin
UniCredit Leasing contribution started in 2008. The areas of support were chosen in consultancy and in cooperation with UniCredit Foundation.
During the last two years we have participated in the following actions organized to support the people in Benin:
- rebuilding the maternity ward of the hospital in Boko
- restructuring of the first aid and maternity center of the hospital in Dassari
- building of four water pumps for potable water in Boukumbe
The initiatives are always chosen with lots of attention and respect to the needs of the local community, its development plans and cultural background / particularities.
Haiti
For few millions of people the world has stopped at 16.53 on 12.01.2010… Exactly in this moment the earthquake hit Haiti with the force that no human being could stop, control or escape from.
The world didn’t stay aside. There was a tremendous will to give help and to act that was coming from countries, organizations, companies and private people.
UniCredit Leasing also decided to support. Based on the advice and funds available we committed to two projects:
- restructuring a school that had been completely destroyed during the earthquake - in cooperation with Fondazione Terre Des Hommes Italia Onlus
- contributing to an agricultural development project - in cooperation with AVSI Foundation
