Our history

The summer of 2007 has witnessed the first step towards the creation of a powerful European leasing company, through the establishment of the sub-holding UniCredit Global Leasing S.p.A., when UniCredit Group combined its national leasing companies in Germany, Italy and Austria, along with the companies within the CEE Division (Central and Eastern Europe).   

The aim of the new entity was that of providing its customers with a single access point to uniform quality and transparency for products and processes.

During the following months, the main goal of the management was directed towards consolidating and expanding the international network. A solid financial infrastructure and consistency in the approach to business and serving clients have represented the pillars of our project’s success which has today become reality. 

Throughout 2008, UniCredit Global Leasing reached its target of fully integrating all leasing operations of the Group, becoming the first successful product factory for UniCredit.

Under the new unique brand, UniCredit Leasing is stepping on its way to further development by leveraging on best expertise across borders. January 1st 2009 has represented the beginning of another successful chapter in our history: from the integration between Locat and the Global sub-holding was born UniCredit Leasing, the first truly international leasing network.

Based on the highly developed know-how and the integration between diversified cultures and markets, the newly born UniCredit Leasing will concentrate on staying close to the customers, by providing products and services at a superior level of quality and innovation to both local enterprises as well as European ones.
